Burnley Manager Sean Dyche attends Under 10's Presentation NightA special guest attended the Under 10's Presentation Night on Friday 9th June. After flying back overnight from a holiday in the Caribbean, encountering a several hour flight delay, attending a meeting in London, Kettering born Burnley Manager Sean Dyche arrived at the Community Centre to make all the presentations to the Under 10's.
Sean stayed until all trophy presentations had been made, all autographs given, and all photographs taken for players and parents alike, before being driven home to Northampton for a well earned nights sleep.
Ise Lodge United Under 18's win County CupIse Lodge United Under 18's won this seasons Under 18 County Cup, 3 - 2 against a spirited Corby S&L side. After taking the lead after 10 minutes through captain Liam Buckland, United found themselves pegged back when failure to deal with a long ball resulted in Corby equalising. Just before the break another long ball caused havoc in the United defence and a rush of blood from the keeper resulted in a penalty. 2 - 1 down as the half time whistle was blown.
A quick change of personal saw United back on top of the game, equalising within 2 minutes of the start with Tom Gudyer scoring to level the game. With S&L resorting to long balls to try and repel the constant Ise Lodge pressure, the game was won by Player Of The Match Tom Gudyer who's goal secured the elusive County Cup, however with literally the last kick of the game a 50-50 challenge saw Ryan Barritt break his leg in 2 places. A sour end to a fantastic day who finally got their hands on the cup after narrowly missing out at Under 16's.
Saturday 11th June 2016 - Parents TournamentOn Saturday 11th June, Ise Lodge YFC successfully held its inaugural Parents Tournament on the pitches behind the Community Centre.
10 teams entered the tournament, so 2 groups of 5 teams played each other in 10 minute games on a league basis. The top 2 teams in each league then played semi finals and a final with Eagles Under 7's being crowned the eventual winners.
Semi Final and Final results were as follows:-
Eagles U7's 1 - 0 Kestrels U9's
Kestrels U7's 2 - 1 Kestrels U8's
Eagles U7's 2 - 1 Kestrels U7's
The event was organised as an attempt to bring the club closer together, across teams and within parent groups, and remind people we are all part of a club that has so much potential. The tournament was just a snippet of what can be achieved if everyone pulls together and supports one another.
The event was a success and the day was enjoyed by all, played in a competitive, but friendly manner, which is what football is all about. A wartime Spitfire appearing at the Kettering At War event at Wickstead Park gave an impromptu flypast to the enjoyment
of spectators and players alike.
Anyway, making the event a success was very much a team effort, and with that in mind a few special thank you's are needed:-
- Andrea Harper - organised burger van, ice cream van, was there early to help get set up and printed off the fixture programme.
- Terry Hawthorn - arranging the referee's and co-ordinating results on the day.
- David Dent - for helping on the day and assisting Terry.
- Coaches - for putting teams together.
- Referee's - for handling the matches professionally and competently.
Remember we have an Ise Lodge Coaches Group on Facebook. Please post photo's / video's etc which can then be shared on website if need be.

Sunday 10th April 2016 - Ise Lodge Hawks Under 11's - NTFA Cup Final
Ise Lodge Hawks Under 11's recently won the NTFA Cup by beating Ringstead Rangers Under 11's 2 - 0 in the Final.
Here is David Northover's Match Report (from a fans perspective)
Having previously played Ringstead Rangers in a League Fixture and beating them quite convincingly by a 6 - 0 scoreline, expectations were quite high for this game. It took a little while for the Ise Lodge Boys to settle, maybe they were a little nervous as this was their first 'big' Cup Final. Ringstead were proving their worth with a strong defensive showing and wherever quick going forward. Tamil Zamora had to make 2 cracking saves to prevent them from taking the lead before Ise Lodge countered, got the ball forward to Daniel Smith and he slotted the ball home to give Ise Lodge Hawks a 1 - 0 lead. This helped to settle the boys a little and they were unlucky to go in at half time only 1 goal up, with Leo Sewell showing his strong attacking play, going close on a couple of occasions.
In the 2nd half, Liam Johnstone was introduced into the game which bought another attacking option to the team.
Approximately 15 minutes into the 2nd Half, a loose ball broke to Liam in the box and he finished with a strong left foot to put Ise Lodge 2 - 0 up.
From here Ise Lodge were able to put in a huge defensive showing with standout performances from Rhys Northover and Kian King, who despite suffering a small injury with 15 minutes to go, played through the pain to aid the win.
MOTM was awarded to Daniel Smith, who scored 1 and put in a huge effort when Ise Lodge Hawks were pushing forward.
